My sb account no 42410206756 at Mylapore branch,chennai
On 19-8-2009, I recd three cheques for Rs.1330,2644 and 2910 for which there was shortage of amount in my account. On receipt of this information, I have paid Rs.3200 and there is balance available in my account.
But subsequently I noticed that two cheques for Rs.1330 and 2644 returned as INSUFFICIENT FUNDS.
I viewed the the statement online that you have returned cheques after my payment. When you debited my account, there is sufficient credit available in my account. I want to know why they have returned and debited my account when I am having sufficient credit balance in my account while they returned the cheque.
I hereby request scb not to debit any cheque returned charges.
I suffered mental agony and torture due to their above indeficiency of services and I want to claim Rs.25000 as compensation for the above .
I suffered bad name and my reputation also spoiled due to your negligence and indeficiency of banking services.The other banks also charged Rs.500 for each cheque returned and my name will be in sibil defaulters list.
I want their explanation in this regard and compensation within a week of this receipt of this letter failing which I have no other option except to proceed further in this regard in consumer court.This is the second time happened in my account.
