I am regular customer of irctc and I have complaint against service given during last week. Pl. fin the following points.
1) I had booked tickets from Surat to Nadiad on 30th April,2011 with PNR: ********97 for 19109 -Gujarat queen.
2) At the time of booking status was WL-1 and WL-2 . After chart preparation (on 29th april -around 21:00 night) I had called 139 , from landline number 0261-2745100… It replied me coach No: FC1 and birth “0†for both the passengers. As coach no was coming but birth showing “00†I was confused and re checked three times (even once, by my wife Ms. Tejal dave -who was to travel with me) .
3) Finally, as birth nos. were not available (according to 139) services, I did not travel by the same train.
4) After .returning I had written a mail at care and I was directed to etickets@irctc.co.in..
5) To my surprised I found mail stating that my tickets were confirmed and birth nos.â€Bâ€. And, hence I am advised to file TDR as per rule.
6) Now, if I file TDR I will get only 50% refund. While, as per reply received from 139 online inquiry I was not allotted birth (it replied “zeroâ€) .
Sir/mam, I frequently book tickets with irctc (you may verify it with my irctc account named "tejuadave") and also miger amount Rs. 350/- is not going to trouble me , but as a matter of right I request you to look at and ratify the error occurred.
I hope you will definitely look at and reply me as soon as possible.
(Note:
1) i firmly believe that for machine generated or railway errors customers should not be penalised and hence I have still not filed TDR yet..ask you to refund full amount to my acount...
2) My all communications (arond 7 times in last three days) i am forwarding to you as reference...
I am still awaiting that what is the cause of error? did voice generated system read "0" in staed of "B" and what birth"B" stands for?
lastly, i am given 25%of refund.. do they think us beggers? why customers should suffer for machine generated errors?
pl. guide...
